A little over six months ago, I brought my minivan here after doing some repairs myself. The engine was sputtering, and the van would not move forward smoothly. It turned out the problem was entirely my mistake—I had forgotten to reconnect a vacuum hose after the repair. The disappointing part wasn't that I made a mistake; it was how the shop handled it. The disconnected hose was in plain sight and took only seconds to reconnect, yet I was charged nearly $200 for what amounted to pushing a rubber hose back onto the engine. To make matters worse, I also had an oxygen sensor on my dashboard that needed to be installed. I spoke to the tech about it. It would have taken about a minute to screw it into the catalytic converter, but they chose not to do it, even though they already had the vehicle. I understand that shops charge for diagnostics and labor, and I have no problem paying for honest work. What bothered me was the lack of goodwill over such a simple fix. A small gesture of customer service could have earned them a loyal customer and future referrals from both me and my colleagues. Based on my experience, I won't be returning. Very nice, friendly place to take your car for servicing. Tim and Jesse were helpful, courteous, and I feel that this company takes a real interest in doing the job right. I comparison shopped since I knew what my car needed to have done and their price was extremely fair, They had a loaner car ready for me I when I arrived at the shop so I could be on my way, which made me very happy. This wasn’t my first visit to Buddy’s and it won’t be my last. Thank you guys for the great service!

VERY pleased with every aspect of this place. The 3 people I had I reaction with was really pleasant and informative. The waiting room was very clean and well-stocked if you’re a coffee drinker (I am NOT). Reading materials were varied and current. The work was done in a timely manner and I was kept informed throughout the service. The service was explained to me in depth and to my expectations. The price was obviously better than the dealership, but was also less than the other estimates I obtained. I wasn’t sure I wanted to use these guys in the beginning because I drive a 2022 Volvo, which is essentially a desktop computer with expensive wheels. I wasn’t sure I could trust them regarding product knowledge. I’m pretty well versed in automotive repairs because my son is a mechanic in Florida, but I displayed a little “boomer brain” to make them think I was completely clueless as to how cars work. Everything was explained as much as necessary and no “Johnson Rod” replacement was recommended. They’re great at what they do. So … these guys are now in my contacts under “Mechanic”. I’ll use them exclusively from this point forward. I think you should too.

I and my sister and niece pulled into Scottsdale and my AC on my car did not work! Timing was pretty perfect on this whole adventure because it happened to be a Sunday evening and not such a hot day in April! That evening we googled shops close to our hotel and found Buddys close to our hotel. We called up Buddys first thing Monday morning Mark took our call and got us in the shop first thing! Service was great and very affordable and efficient! Thank you Buddys! Highly recommend!

I’ve had multiple great experiences with Buddy’s Auto Shop. From start to finish they were professional, prompt, and very easy to deal with. They got my vehicle in quickly and completed the work in a timely manner without any hassle. What I appreciated most was their honesty. They didn’t try to upsell me or recommend repairs that weren’t actually needed, which is rare these days. Instead, they performed a very thorough 77-point inspection and clearly organized everything into urgent items, non-urgent items, and items that passed inspection, so I knew exactly what needed attention and what could safely wait. Another thing that really stood out was how transparent they are. They don’t just tell you what’s wrong, the inspection report includes detailed photos, and they take the time to thoroughly explain what’s going on so you actually understand the condition of your vehicle. That level of communication and transparency builds a lot of trust. Their pricing was also very fair and reasonable. Overall it was a straightforward, stress-free experience, and it’s clear they care about doing quality work and treating customers honestly. I’d definitely recommend Buddy’s Auto Shop to anyone
